Domain names consist of two parts. For example, in ”google.com” the “.com” represents what is known as the top level domain (TLD) and “google” represents the second level domain and is the actual name.
Domain names are o two types in subordinate levels (subdomains) of the  domain, which is nameless.e.g www.newsarena.mywaoblog.com.newsarena is the subdomain while mywaplblog.com is the top level domain
The first-level set of domain names are the top level domains also known as (TLDs).

The name google can be can be used with different TLDs, such as .com, .org and .net.
